Hornets frontman hoping to end season on a high

Watford's experienced striker Chris Iwelumo hopes to end the season with a flourish following a frustrating campaign. The Scotland international has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Vicarage Road since joining from Burnley last summer. However, the 33-year-old proved his worth at the weekend, with his two-goal performance earning the Hornets all three points at play-off chasing Leeds. The commanding target-man is now hoping to make up for lost time with just six games to go. "Every footballer, no matter what age they are, wants to start and play every match and when that isn't the case it can be frustrating," Iwelumo told Sky Sports. "However, you've just got to do the right things when you are both involved and not on a matchday so that when a chance comes your way you take it. "It was great to start the game on Saturday and then it was up to me to show what I can do and thankfully I did that."
