Crawley Town have secured the services of Watford goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin on loan from the Championship club.
The 24-year-old, who has recently returned from a loan spell at League One side Yeovil, will stay with Crawley until the end of March and is a replacement for the injured Scott Shearer, who requires surgery on his right knee.
The Red Devils beat off stiff competition to sign Gilmartin and manager Steve Evans was delighted with his capture.
"Before I talk about Rene Gilmartin, let me first of all thank Watford Football Club and in particular their manager Sean Dyche," he told the club's official website.
"Rene is a talented lad and was set for a loan move to a club in League One but Sean Dyche gave me permission to talk to the lad.
"Rene is a big lad with a great presence and his distribution is excellent. He was on my radar when he was at Walsall but he got a great move to Watford at the time."
