Iwelumo admits Watford may struggle to hang on to starlet
Watford striker Chris Iwelumo admits the club may struggle to retain the services of promising forward Marvin Sordell.
The 20-year-old is already reported to be attracting Premier League interest, with talk of £5million bids doing the rounds.
Blackburn Rovers are among those said to be keen, with the top-flight strugglers in the market for added creativity and goal threat.
Sordell has fallen under numerous other radars, though, with it difficult to keep a player of his potential out of the spotlight.
Iwelumo concedes as much, with the much-travelled frontman of the opinion that his young colleague could be on his way out of Vicarage Road in the near future.
Positive
"I've played with some great strikers and Marvin is up there," he said.
"He's got everything at such a young age and is only going to get better.
"We'll have a job to keep him but that's always the case with good players.
"We've a few here who have been performing really well and there's a few eyes on them."
On the speculation, Watford boss Sean Dyche added: "It's positive to have people looking at your players, it means they are taking Watford seriously."
