Striker aiming to help Watford during loan spell at Vicarage Road

Craig Beattie is looking forward to the opportunity to play first-team football after joining Watford on loan from Swansea City. The Scottish striker has not made a Premier League appearance for Swansea this season after being sidelined by an ankle injury. He has been playing with the reserves recently to build up his match fitness and is now aiming to boost Watford's fortunes after moving to Vicarage Road until January. "I've met the coaches at Watford and it seems a nice club," explained Beattie to Swansea's official website. "The ankle injury I picked up recently set me back a bit, but now I'm feeling fit and raring to go. "I just need some game time, some action, and I'm looking forward to the challenge at Watford. "I want to play first-team football again and I will be doing my best to help the Hornets as much as I can during the loan spell." The Hornets are currently battling to get out of the relegation zone after a last-gasp defeat by Hull City at the weekend in which Robert Koren wrapped the game up in stoppage-time.
