Aston Villa have recalled young striker Andreas Weimann from his loan spell with Watford ahead of schedule.
The Austria Under-21 international was due to remain on loan at Vicarage Road until the end of January.
However, the Midlands club have now exercised their right to bring the player back to Villa Park, providing Alex McLeish with an additional attacking option.
Weimann was in his second loan spell with the Hornets having enjoyed a brief stint in the second half of last season.
The 20-year-old started three matches under manager Sean Dyche.
