Chez Isaac has signed a contract extension at Watford before linking up with non-league Boreham Wood on a month-long loan deal.
The 18-year-old Academy graduate penned a six-month professional contract over the summer but has now struck a new agreement until the end of the season.
Isaac will now get the chance to prove his worth and play first-team football over the coming weeks with Blue Square Bet South side Boreham Wood.
However, he will still train with the Hornets during the week.
Sean Dyche's Watford side have made a disappointing start to the season but received a timely confidence boost on Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Reading.
