Hornets boss still chasing a number of targets

Sean Dyche admits he is 'active in the market' as he attempts to bring fresh faces to Watford. The Hornets boss has already completed five pieces of transfer business this summer, but insists he is not done yet. An injection of new blood is important to any side during the summer break and Dyche is aware that he must add if Watford are to move forward. He insists he is doing all he can to help ensure that progress is made, with plenty of hard work being put in behind the scenes in the pursuit of new talent. "We are proactive as we speak now," Dyche told Sky Sports News. "I'm always on the phone to Ross Wilson, who is our head of business, and we are currently active in the market. "It's just that we can't cherry-pick because we haven't got the resources to do that. We have to be a bit more careful and let things develop with time, rather than throwing money at every target."

Figurehead

One of those Dyche has been able to bring on board is experienced frontman Chris Iwelumo and he is expecting the 32-year-old to play a vital role at Vicarage Road next season. He added: "I think that's a real big one. I think that's one where people have probably raised their eyebrows and think that's a real sign of intent. "We have got other people we want to bring in. We have got a couple of the other ones that aren't so well known that we are expecting to do well. "But Chris is a figurehead, if you like, both in the physical manner because of his size and hopefully he'll do really well for the club, which is what we brought him here to do."
