Skysports.com understands Watford are poised to sign Sheffield United winger Mark Yeates.
United are willing to let Yeates move on as they look to trim their squad and playing budget following their relegation from the Championship.
A number of clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in the former Tottenham youngster, but it appears Watford are set to win the race for his signature.
A fee is believed to have been agreed between Watford and United for the 26-year-old and Yeates will undergo a medical at Vicarage Road on Wednesday ahead of sealing his move to the Championship club.
Watford boss Sean Dyche is a big admirer of Yeates and sees him as a key addition to his squad for next season.
