Watford defender Lloyd Doyley is likely to miss at least the next three matches during his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The long-serving Doyley has already sat out the Hornets' last three games since being forced off at half-time in the 2-2 draw with Preston North End.
Doyley is still a further week away from getting back to full training and Watford boss Malky Mackay is waiting for his return.
"Lloyd has just started outside with the physios, so in the next 10 days or so he should be back training with us," said Mackay.
Adam Thompson has been filling in for Doyley and he is expected to shake off illness to be available for Watford's game with Millwall at the weekend.
Mackay added: "Thompson had a bug that floored him. By the end of the game at Doncaster Rovers he looked like a wet rag sitting in the dressing room."
