Yeovil Town have added Watford teenager Rob Kiernan to their squad on an initial month-long loan deal.

Kiernan has made only one substitute's appearance for Watford to date, but did spend a few months on loan at Kilmarnock last season.

He has now accepted a move to Yeovil and is likely to be in Terry Skiverton's squad for the League One opener against Leyton Orient on 7th August.

Meanwhile, Watford's academy goalkeeper Jonathan Bond has signed a three-year professional contract at the club.

Bond, who is just starting the second year of his scholarship at Vicarage Road, helped the Under-18 side reach the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup last season.

Manager Malky Mackay told the club's official website: "Jonathan found himself on the bench last season. He trained with the first team and it may have been surprising to him, but he's worked hard and that's paid off for him."
