Full-back agrees two-year deal

Notts County boss Craig Short has unveiled Jon Harley as his fifth signing of the summer so far and will undergo a medical next week. The former Chelsea and Fulham full-back joins on a two-year deal after leaving Watford at the end of last season. Harley spent two years at Watford after spending much of his career in the Championship after leaving Fulham in 2004, and will link up with Magpies assistant Dave Kevan, with whom he spent three years with at Burnley. The 30-year-old will link up with the newly promoted League One club once they return from their pre-season trip to Austria should he successfully complete his medical. "I am delighted to be here," he told the club's official website. "It's always hard leaving a club and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Watford, but I am relishing the challenge here at Notts County next season. "I was impressed by what the manager had to offer and I'm just looking forward to getting stuck in now and helping the club continue their forward momentum from last season."
