Watford have been dealt an injury blow with the news that Mat Sadler is set to be absent for up to a month.
The left-back sustained damage to a lateral knee ligament in the final stages of the extra-time Carling Cup win over Darlington.
Sadler, who signed for the club from Birmingham in January, joins on-loan striker Grzegorz Rasiak on the sidelines.
Hornets manager Aidy Boothroyd must now rethink his plans ahead of Saturday's trip to Sheffield Wednesday as he aims to record back-to-back Championship success.
