Watford striker joins on loan and could face Charlton

Preston North End have brought in striker Tamas Priskin on a month-long loan deal from Watford. Priskin has struggled for first-team opportunities at Watford this season and has not featured in the Championship in almost three months. He will be in Preston's squad for Saturday's game at Charlton Athletic and the Hungary international is looking forward to his stint with Alan Irvine's side. "I am very pleased to come here and I am very happy to play at Preston," Priskin told the club's official website. "I think this loan is very good for me and I hope it is going to be really good for Preston. "I hope I can help the team move away from the relegation zone because this team is good enough to be far away from that part of the table and I hope I will help do that."

Big lad

Preston manager Irvine outlined the qualities he expects Priskin to bring to the team, having allowed Brett Ormerod to join Nottingham Forest on loan. Irvine said: "He's a big lad. He's strong, but not a physical type of player. "He's a player who is good technically and is a powerful runner."
