Watford are appealing against the red card given to John-Joe O'Toole in Tuesday's night's game against Leicester City.
O'Toole was sent off in the 39th minute of the Hornets' 1-0 win for a professional foul on Foxes midfielder Stephen Clemence.
However, Watford officials did not deem the incident worthy of a red card and lodged an appeal before Wednesday's 1pm deadline in an attempt to have the suspension overturned.
The North London club will present video evidence of the incident, and will find out if they have been successful on Thursday afternoon.
O'Toole will be available for Watford's crunch with Charlton on Saturday, should the appeal be warranted.
