Skysports.com understands Watford have rejected a transfer request from Darius Henderson.
Henderson handed in the request on Wednesday after Watford blocked a potential move to Fulham.
Fulham made a move for the powerful forward after losing Brian McBride to a long-term injury.
Cottagers boss Lawrie Sanchez is keen to add to his attacking options with McBride facing up to three months on the sidelines and he is a fan of Henderson.
The bid is believed to be in the region of £1.5million, but Watford have rebuffed Fulham's overtures as they are keen to keep hold of Henderson.
The offer comes just weeks after Watford agreed a £1.3million deal with Preston for Henderson only for the player to snub the chance to move to Deepdale.
It remains to be seen if Sanchez will come in with a new improved bid as he looks to take Henderson to Craven Cottage.
