Watford's Richard Lee was delighted with the chance to start against Manchester United and is happy to bide his time to become a first-team regular.
Lee was handed the opportunity to play against The Red Devils on Saturday as on-loan Ben Forster was ineligible to face his parent club.
The former Blackburn loanee impressed against Sir Alex Ferguson's table toppers and knows if he is patient enough he will be given more chances by Adrian Boothroyd in future.
"The manager has been fantastic. We've had a couple of long chats on where I stand. Ben Foster is the number one, he is a good keeper and he's doing well," explained Lee.
"I wanted to be given a second chance, the manager has given me that. I'm delighted to be included.
"Ben's a good friend and he's a great keeper. But I do want to force my way in and I do have ambitions.
"I'm hoping Ben won't be here forever and I want to put in some good performances and make sure the manager knows I'm here."
