Watford striker Hameur Bouazza has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken foot.
The young Frenchman fractured the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot during the first half of last Saturday's 2-2 draw with Derby County at Vicarage Road.
The news will come as a blow to the French hit-man, who had returned from a loan at League One strugglers Swindon Town to win a place in manager Adrian Boothroyd's first-team line-up.
"It's a shame for him because he's done very well out on loan," Boothroyd told the club's official website.
"He's learned a lot about the game and himself, being a main player with more expectation on him."
Meanwhile, The Hornets have cancelled the contract of Spanish defender Sietes by mutual consent.
The 32-year-old, full name Jose Manuel Suarez Rivas, failed to settle into the English game following his summer move from Segunda Liga club Real Murcia.
