Lyn target Hornets ace

WATFORD striker Heidar Helguson could be on his way back to Norway with Lyn, according to his agent.

The player's representative Erik Soler admitted that Tippeliga side Lyn had expressed an interest in the 24-year-old former Lillestrom star.

"I can confirm that there have been a request from Lyn," Soler told Norwegian daily VG.

Helguson could be keen on a move as he has found himself out-of-favour with The Hornets this season.

The highly-rated striker, who was the club's first £1 million-plus player when he joined in January 2000, has found himself behind Marcus Gayle, Gifton Noel-Williams and Tommy Smith in the pecking order at Vicarage Road.

The Icelandic international's contract expires at the end of the 2003 season and Watford may be willing to cash-in on him now rather than risk losing him for nothing in when his deal expires
