GORDON STRACHAN became the first player and manager to go a whole season without an away win, after he saw his side go down 1-0 at Vicarage Road.
Watford to their credit always looked to more likely to score, and it came in spectacular fashion just before half time from Icelandic International Heidar Helguson.
Helguson buried a spectacular overhead kick into the near post, to give Magnus Hedman no chance in The Sky Blues goal.
The match was largely a low key affair however the home fans thought they should have had a penalty when Helguson was brought down by Hedman but referee Uriah Rene thought nothing of it.
So after a largely disappointing season The Hornets end on a high note with their sixth win of the season.
