Besiktas coach Slaven Bilic has distanced himself from reports linking him with West Ham United.

Reports have suggested that the 46-year-old Croatian is on the radar of the Premier League club, even though the Hammers have made an encouraging start to the new season.

Sam Allardyce’s future has been the topic of speculation for some time, despite regular backing from his bosses, and there continue to be rumours that there could be a managerial change.

However, Bilic has given no thought to replacing Allardyce as he remains committed to Besiktas.

“I really do not know why I'm being linked with them,” he told Sportske Novosti. “I guess rumours like that are just part of this sport.

“I played there, now I'm a manager and it is not the first time that people are talking about me. They did that even when I was the Croatia manager.

“But the reality is that I'm just thinking about Besiktas and the work I'm doing there. I'm spending all my energy for Besiktas.”
