Dons nail Hammer McNaughton

West Ham defender Callum McNaughton has signed for AFC Wimbledon on a free transfer after an initial three-month loan spell.

The 20-year-old's stay at Kingsmeadow came to an end earlier this week but he has now joined on a permanent basis, agreeing a two-and-a-half year contract. McNaughton made just one appearance for West Ham and it was not a resounding success - he was sent off as Sam Allardyce's side were dumped out of the Carling Cup by Aldershot earlier this season. But he has made 16 appearances for the Dons in all competitions. Boss Terry Brown told the club's website: "I am absolutely delighted Callum has now signed a permanent deal with us. "He has made great progress in the time he has been with us and will only improve over the coming years. I have no doubt he will have a long and successful time with us."
