Wales have been handed a blow ahead of their friendly with Norway on Wednesday with the news Craig Bellamy and Danny Gabbidon have both pulled out.

The West Ham duo have informed John Toshack they will not be available due to a lack of match fitness, joining Gareth Bale and James Collins on the sidelines.

Bellamy made his comeback from a three month lay-off with an abdominal injury against Wigan on Saturday, playing 22 minutes, but his club boss Alan Curbishley wants him to continue his rehabilitation at Upton Park.

Defender Gabbidon has not played since mid-December due to a groin strain, and has only managed one reserve game.

Despite being desperately short of cover in his squad, with Real Sociedad midfielder David Vaughan having also pulled out with a thigh injury, Toshack has decided not to raid his Under 21 ranks for replacements.
