West Ham have continued their January rebuilding plans with the capture of Sevilla striker Kepa Blanco on loan.
The Spanish striker has joined The Hammers on loan for the remainder of the season, with West Ham retaining the option to make the deal permanent.
The 23-year-old passed a medical at Upton Park on Tuesday after agreeing personal terms with the East Londoners.
Blanco is the club's fifth capture of the January transfer window following the arrivals of Lucas Neill, Calum Davenport, Nigel Quashie and Luis Boa Morte.
The striker will now battle with the likes of Marlon Harewood, Bobby Zamora, Carlos Tevez and Carlton Cole for a spot in Alan Curbishley's starting line-up.
With Dean Ashton also on the road to recovery, Curbishley should have more than enough firepower at his fingertips to secure The Hammers' Premiership safety.
