Alan Pardew feels West Ham United fans have yet to see the best of captain Nigel Reo-Coker.
The midfielder was a key figure for The Hammers last term, but he has not found the same form in the first couple of months of the new campaign.
There has been talk of a bust up between captain and manager, but this has been dismissed by Pardew, who feels Reo-Coker is working hard to improve his game.
"I think the games have unfolded poorly for him this year as when we take the lead, there is a little bit more room for him to run into and his drive is more apparent," Pardew told Sky Sports News.
"But he has had to learn this year that when we concede the first goal and teams sit, he has to adapt his game. He has done that and he will continue to do that.
"I think the best of Nigel Reo-Coker for West Ham is still to come."
