Skysports.com understand Marlon Harewood is close to signing a new deal at West Ham.
West Ham are locked in talks with the pacey striker about extending his stay at Upton Park.
Harewood enjoyed a fine season with West Ham last term scoring 14 Premiership goals and helping the club reach the FA Cup final.
A number of top clubs including Tottenham and Newcastle have been linked with the powerful hit-man.
However, Hammers boss Alan Pardew insists Harewood is going nowhere and that he is not for sale.
West Ham are now hoping to tie down the former Nottingham Forest man to a long-term contract to ward off potential suitors.
Harewood's representative Mick McGuire has revealed that talks are going well and that an agreement could be close.
"We are currently in talks with West Ham regarding Marlon's contract," McGuire told skysports.com.
"Things are progressing well and it all looks positive.
"Marlon is happy at West Ham and he is ready to pledge his future to the club."
