Marlon Harewood says being West Ham's match-winner in their FA Cup semi-final victory over Middlesbrough has yet to properly sink in.The powerful striker lashed a shot past Brad Jones 12 minutes from time to send the West Ham fans who made the trip to Villa Park into raptures.
Harewood, who was booked by referee Mike Riley for his celebrations, admits he has been on cloud nine since netting against Boro.
"It hasn't really sunk in yet," the forward told Sky Sports News. "We are back in training, having got a game tomorrow, and we are all concentrating on that. It will probably sink in properly later in the week."
The former Nottingham Forest man claims he has yet to fully analyse his stunning strike.
"The only time I saw the goal was at the PFA awards," he added. "I went with Anton (Ferdinand) because he was up for the young player award."
Harewood says playing in an FA Cup final will be the culmination of a dream.
"I am really looking forward to it and it is an opportunity I will never forget, I can't wait," he stressed.
"When you were a kid you watched TV and saw all the cup finals and now I am one of those people and I can't wait."
The Hammers have expressed disappointment at their allocation of 24,000 for the final with Liverpool at The Millennium Stadium.
West Ham were handed 34,000 tickets for last year's play-off final and had hoped for a similar allocation.
