West Ham United could lose Israeli star Yossi Benayoun for the Christmas period.The midfielder, who has made a huge impact since his summer move from Racing Santander, limped out of The Hammers' 4-2 defeat to Newcastle at the weekend with a thigh problem.
Now it has emerged that the problem is worse than expected and Benayoun is a major doubt for West Ham's forthcoming fixtures.
"The injury for Yossi is more worrying than the result," admitted Pardew.
"Yossi was terrific against Newcastle and caused them a lot of problems."
