Boston United have agreed to sign striker Adam Boyd on a permanent basis from Division Two club Hartlepool United.

The 21-year-old has been in talks with the York Street club after spending nearly a month on loan with the Division Three side.

The Pilgrims are now awaiting approval from Hartlepool in order to secure the services of Boyd.

The agreement with Boyd is coupled with the news that midfielder David Noble has joined the club on loan until the end of the season from West Ham United.

The former Arsenal trainee will get the opportunity of first team action with Boston, with places hard to come by at Upton Park.

Meanwhile, the club have received approval from The FA to re-appoint Steve Evans as manager once his suspension for contractual irregularities ends next Wednesday.
