West Ham United have signed Hayden Mullins from London rivals Crystal Palace.

The 24-year-old has agreed an initial loan move while the two clubs agree terms over a permanent deal.

The former England Under-21 international is new boss Alan Pardew's first signing since taking charge at Upton Park.

"I am pleased to confirm that the temporary transfer of Hayden has been concluded," said managing director Paul Aldridge, who confirmed he could make his debut against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

"He is eligible to play against Nottingham Forest should Alan Pardew wish to select him - this was the first priority.

"But we are confident that a permanent deal can be completed quickly once one or two loose ends have been tied up."
