Glenn Roeder has wasted little time in seeking a replacement, particularly with the threat that Frederic Kanoute could still head for Tottenham.
28-year-old Saifi is still under contract at Troyes for another year, but has been granted his wish to try and earn a move to England by the relegated French side.
"The club is kind to me," smiled the Algerian international.
"They will let me leave for a not too expensive transfer fee."
