Charlton Athletic loanee Astrit Ajdarevic has admitted that he is keen to play for Sweden's national side.
The 23-year-old, on loan from Standard Liege, scored his first goal for the Addicks in Tuesday's 3-2 victory over Yeovil - a win that moved Jose Riga's side two points away from the relegation zone.
Sweden coach Erik Hamren was watching from the stands during the win over Yeovil and Ajdarevic is hopeful he will receive a call-up in the near future.
"It's obvious that you want to play for your country, but the most important thing is to do well at your club," he told Expressen.
"If I play regularly here and do well, I will be ready if they call."
Charlton have two games in hand over 22nd-placed Millwall and Ajdarevic is hoping they can take full advantage.
"It was an important win (over Yeovil) in a six-pointer," he said.
"We are now out of the relegation zone and have got some matches in hand compared to the clubs we are fighting against in the bottom."
