Sky Sports understands Charlton Athletic are set to hand a new long-term deal to top defensive prospect Morgan Fox.
The Welsh Under-21 international impressed during a loan stint with Notts County earlier this season, before being recalled to the first team at The Valley.
Now new boss Jose Riga is understood to be impressed with Fox and is hoping he can be tied down to a new deal.
Fox's current deal is due to expire in the summer and a number of clubs are understood to have been alerted to that.
However, Charlton have now opened talks with Fox and his representatives and are hopeful of concluding a deal.
