Charlton boss Chris Powell has reiterated the importance of youngster Chris Solly to his team as they find their feet in the Championship.
Solly has recently switched from right-back to fill in on the left side of defence as Powell's options have been limited.
And the 21-year-old also weighed in with a superb goal from outside the penalty area to secure a 2-0 victory over Blackpool on Saturday.
Powell said: "Chris Solly has been a superb player for me since I started managing the club. I'm playing him at left-back and he just gets on with the job.
"He's a real favourite of the players and the supporters because he's unruffled and he is a seven or eight out of 10 in every game.
"He hasn't scored for a while, but what a superb goal for him and for us."
