Trapattoni drafts in Hammers keeper

Sky Sports understands West Ham goalkeeper Stephen Henderson has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for the friendly with Oman. Highly-rated keeper Henderson has won his second call-up to the senior squad for Tuesday's friendly at Craven Cottage. Henderson has made one appearance for the Hammers this season keeping a clean sheet in the Capital One Cup win over Crewe. The former Aston Villa and Portsmouth man will be hoping to get the chance to impress Republic boss Giovanni Trapattoni with the No.1 shirt up for grabs following the retirement of Shay Given. Henderson is the third player to be drafted into the original squad following the call-ups for Manchester United winger Robbie Brady and Reading defender Alex Pearce.
