Powell keen for keeper to play regularly

Charlton manager Chris Powell says he wants to send goalkeeper John Sullivan out on loan so he can benefit from regular action. The back-up keeper, who initially joined Charlton on loan in 2011, spent most of last season on the bench behind regular No.1 Ben Hamer. And the Addicks boss wants the 24-year-old to get some more matches under his belt. "John was excellent for us last year and played a few games, but we want him to play regularly and we're hoping something might happen there," said Powell. "He's still our keeper and is coming out to Spain with us, but long-term we'd like him to get some game time." Meanwhile, Powell has given 28-year-old Spanish keeper Jacobo Sanz Ovejero a trial at the club. "He has come to our attention through various people and he has got good experience," added Powell.
