Defender's loan spell at Charlton comes to an end

Burnley have terminated the contract of central defender Leon Cort by mutual consent. Cort signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Clarets in January 2010 after arriving from Hull City and made 15 appearances during their Premier League campaign. But Cort has not featured for Eddie Howe's side this season, having been loaned out to League One leaders Charlton in August. He has played six times for the Addicks this term but that loan deal has now been cancelled after Burnley allowed him to become a free agent.
