Charlton boss Chris Powell has sought to assure the club's supporters that he has no plans to part with Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Speculation has mounted over recent weeks that Wright-Phillips could soon be heading for pastures new, with a number of Championship sides reported to be keen.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed a prolific spell at The Valley, but only penned an 18-month contract upon his arrival from Plymouth in January and it is the short-term nature of that deal that has Charlton followers concerned.
Powell, though, is confident that Wright-Phillips will opt to stick with Addicks and will continue to spearhead his forward line over the second half of the season.
He told
News Shopper: "Bradley is very happy here and I think it is always a bit silly season when there's not too much going on with transfers and loans that they are going to link a striker who is scoring goals with a move away.
"He has got a contract which we've looked at and we will look at and we've got no problems there.
"Brad has settled in the area after moving from the West Country back to London and he is really happy here.

"He has done exceptionally well for us and I don't foresee any problems if and when we have to extend his contract."
Powell added: "He has got 18 months so I can't see any problems with Brad staying. He himself wants to shoot us to where we want to go and be the main man in that respect.
"He knows if he is fit, ready and playing we will create the chances for not only him but all our forwards. But we are talking about Brad being able to convert and 13 in 16 is a very good record and knowing him he will want to keep that going."
Charlton are hoping they will be able to offer Wright-Phillips second tier football next season, with the club currently five points clear at the top of League One and well on course to prove their ambition to their highly-rated frontman.
Powell said: "If you spoke to Brad he will be thinking that way. Of course there is a lot of hard work until that can happen.
"People will always look at goalscorers, that is what transfer speculation will always be about in the main - goalscorers and people who can win you games.
"They get paid the most, that is why they go for the most because they are the ones who can win games."
