AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown praised Jack Turner after he saved two penalties to knock Stevenage out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Rashid Yussuff thought he had won the game for the Dons after Sam Hatton's penalty had cancelled out Lawrie Wilson's fortunate opener, only for Mark Roberts to make it 2-2 at the death. But after Boro's Darius Charles and Dons' Yussuff had missed from the spot, Lee Minshull made no mistake and 19-year-old Turner denied Wilson to seal the victory. "He's a very, very talented young boy who has been with us for two-and-a-half years," said Brown. "He's a firecracker of a boy, as mad as a hatter and you have to keep on top of him all the time. He's waited patiently for his chance. He's had to wait patiently because, touch wood, Seb Brown hasn't missed many games. "He got his opportunity and I felt so sorry for him for the first goal because it is a ricochet and he can't do anything with it and then the second goal he can't do anything with. "And what confidence will he get out of saving the two penalties that got us through."
