Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jose Semedo says he does not regret leaving Charlton after making a happy return to The Valley.

Semedo, who spent four years with Charlton and voted player of the year last season before a free summer move to Hillsborough, went back for the first time in Monday night's 1-1 draw. The 26-year-old Portuguese told the club's official website: "I was very happy to come back and see some of my old team-mates and ex-manager. "It was great to see the fans. I have a lot of respect for them and it was good of them to applaud me like they did when I came off. "We didn't perform like we know we can in the first half, but we kept at it and got our rewards in the second half. "I had a great time at Charlton, but I have joined another fantastic club. There are some great people here and I'm very happy at Sheffield Wednesday."
