Powell brings in midfield duo

Charlton have made their first two signings of the summer by landing midfield duo Danny Hollands and Bradley Pritchard. Hollands has been handed a three-year contract at the Valley after his departure from Bournemouth at the end of the season. And Pritchard has joined the League One outfit from Hayes & Yeading in the Blue Square Premier after impressing during a trial spell. Addicks boss Chris Powell told the club's official website: "I'm really happy Danny has agreed to join the club. He's a player I've long admired, and hopefully is the first of many new signings this summer. "He was a key component in Bournemouth's side last season so that's why I've acted to bring him in. In fact, we've moved incredibly quickly to get him as he only became available on Monday. "Midfield is an area I have to look at and address and he's an all-round midfielder who I feel will add to our squad. A number of clubs have been after him." Regarding Zimbabwe-born Pritchard, Powell added: "He's a good midfielder with a good use of the ball. He is very energetic and technically aware. "He got into double figures last year from midfield. People may say it was at Conference level but in my eyes that's the fifth league. "So he's jumped a couple of levels and we feel he has the right attitude to progress and to carry on learning his trade with us."
