Charlton have re-signed former defender Jonathan Fortune, who has put pen to paper on a deal until Christmas.
The centre-half, who made 195 appearances in eight years for the Addicks, was a free agent after leaving Sheffield United in the summer. "He's been working hard over the summer and in pre-season, and the aim over the next few months is to get him back to the player he was before," said Charlton boss Phil Parkinson. "He's signed a short-term deal until Christmas, and before then he could go out on loan for a month to get some quick games under his belt. "He's had a long period of inactivity without first-team football, but he's only 30 and there is no reason why he can't get back to where he was before."
