Winger set for Valley return

Skysports.com understands Charlton have agreed a deal to sign Kyel Reid from Sheffield United. Reid ended last season on loan with the Addicks and he impressed during his stint at the Valley, helping the side reach the play-off semi-finals. The 22-year-old was loaned out after struggling to make an impact at Bramall Lane following his free transfer switch last summer. Addicks boss Phil Parkinson was keen to turn Reid's loan deal into a permanent arrangement and he has now agreed a deal with the Blades. Reid will help fill the void left by Lloyd Sam's recent departure to Leeds and will become Charlton's fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Johnnie Jackson, Alan McCormack and Gary Doherty.
