Royals new boy reveals motives behind switch

Grzegorz Rasiak has admitted that Brendan Rodgers played an integral role in his decision to join Reading. The Polish striker joined the Royals for an undisclosed fee from Southampton last month, penning a two-year deal at the Madejski Stadium. He did spend a spell on loan at Watford last term, where he worked under the guidance of Rodgers. Having enjoyed his time playing for the highly-rated coach he admits he jumped at the opportunity to link up again at Reading. He told the Reading Chronicle: "I had a few options but I think I made a very good choice. "One of the main reasons I came to Reading was because of the manager and coaching staff they have here. "They knew me from the past and I had an option to go back to Watford as well. "It was a tough decision because I knew everybody there but I chose Reading and I am pleased with that."
