Barnsley boss Simon Davey insists he has not given up hope of signing Andy Gray from Charlton.
The experienced striker agreed terms with the Tykes earlier in the summer but a move stalled as a result of Charlton's takeover talks.
Davey admitted last week that his patience was 'wearing thin' but he believes a transfer could still go ahead.
"It's still there, we're still hopeful we can do that," he said.
Charlton are under a transfer embargo until their takeover is completed.
