Gillingham have extended the loan of Charlton midfielder Josh Wright to take in the play-offs.

On-loan midfielder eligible to feature in the play-offs

Gillingham have extended the loan of Charlton Athletic midfielder Josh Wright to take in the League Two play-offs. Wright has made four appearances for the Gills since moving to Priestfield and has impressed for Mark Stimson's side. He will now be available for the play-off semi-final against either Rochdale or Dagenham & Redbridge, in addition to the final should Gillingham make it to Wembley in late May. Meanwhile, Gills defender Simon King has no preference over who the club will face in the two-legged semi-final.

Complete lottery

"Like everyone says, the play-offs are a complete lottery," said King. "It's about how you play on the day and I think we just need to concentrate on our own performance. "Having played both, Dagenham have got a different style to Rochdale, they look to turn teams a bit more whereas Rochdale play a bit more football, so I think equally they will both be very tough games whoever we play against. We'll have to be on our game. "They are contrasting styles, so whoever it is on the day, we'll have to make sure we do the right things."
