Championship strugglers Charlton Athletic have signed Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn on a month's loan.
Charlton boss Alan Pardew had been keen to increase the options in his squad after sending players out on loan in recent weeks.
Pardew also has fitness concerns over a couple of his forwards and has now agreed a deal for Waghorn.
The teenager is rated highly at Sunderland, but has been restricted to just one first-team appearance this season due to an ankle injury.
Sunderland manager Roy Keane is eager for the 18-year-old to build up his experience and has sanctioned the move to the Valley.
Waghorn is in line to make his debut against Sheffield United this weekend and the deal could be extended by a further two months at the end of his initial spell.
