Bury boss Alan Knill is hopeful he can persuade Elliott Bennett and Darren Randolph to return to Gigg Lane next season.
Both players recently enjoyed loan spells with the League Two club but have since returned to their parent clubs.
Knill would like to see Randolph return from Charlton but is more hopeful of agreeing a deal with Wolves for their midfielder Bennett.
"I've mentioned before that I'd like to bring Darren Randolph and Elliott Bennett back to the club next season," Knill told the club's official website.
"With Darren he came here and proved himself at this level and I think that he and his agent are looking to prove themselves at at higher level. Elliott is a touch different; he is younger and is still learning his trade.
"He enjoyed his time here and I felt that he got better. I'm more positive with Elliott."
