Charlton manager Alan Pardew has demanded his side prove they have the bottle for a promotion challenge after a 3-1 home defeat to Burnley on Saturday.
Pardew was left stunned after his side lost their second home game of the week to a confident Burnley team under new boss Owen Coyle.
Two goals from Andy Gray and one from Chris McCann condemned Charlton to their fourth defeat at The Valley this season.
Andy Reid scored Charlton's only goal of the game and the fans were quick to vent their frustrations on Pardew and his players.
Pardew is hoping for a quick improvement in their form if they have any chance of keeping up with the Championship frontrunners.

He said: "We've dug ourselves into a hole and we go to Cardiff on Tuesday night needing to get a big reaction.
"I still think that in the dressing room we've got enough good players with enough experience to deal with this situation and get ourselves promoted.
"We gave three bad goals away today and it's fair to say we hit the self-destruct.
"We have this ability to gift teams situations and we have to stop that. We need to be a bit more dogged at home and not as ambitious."
Burnley boss Coyle has seen a successful start to his reign with an unbeaten run of three games, but he is determined not to get carried away.
Tremendous effort
"The target for the season is to chalk up some home wins," he said.
"We are good on our travels but we've got a number of home games in December and we need to win them.
"We'll see where that takes us, it's too early to say where we'll end up.
"But after games against Watford and Charlton obviously if someone had offered me six points I'd have snapped their hands off.
"Certainly in the last week the players have given tremendous effort and that's all you can ask for. We will be looking to win every game, whether it's home or away.
"Andy Gray leads the line so well and contributes even when not scoring. He summed up the team performance. He'll sleep well tonight that's for sure."
