Barnet manager Paul Fairclough has bolstered his midfield with the signings of Paul Smith and Josh Wright. Smith, 35, has made more than 500 Football League appearances and will add experience to Fairclough's side. Highly-rated teenager Wright joins The Bees on a one-month loan from Charlton.

The youngster has been a regular for the reserves and has represented England at under-16 level. "I am looking forward to getting some first-team football under my belt while I am here," Wright told the club's official website. The Barnet boss has also secured Jason Norville on a non-contract basis after the striker proved his fitness.
Determined
The 23-year-old was released by Barnet after an injury-plagued spell at Underhill but came through a successful pre-season with the club and has now returned to the squad. "He has been training with us since day one this summer and appears completely free from injury," Fairclough said. "He is determined to repay Barnet and its supporters after his long spell on the sidelines and he is burning with desire. "Jason has seized the chance I have given him by signing."
