Crewe have agreed terms with Charlton over the loan signing of striker Chris Dickson.
The 22-year-old is expected to put pen-to-paper before Alexandra's trip to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
And the Gresty Road club are also hopeful of signing Lee Barnard on loan from Tottenham before the end of the week.

The striker has been linked with several other clubs but a move to the League One side now appears close.
Meanwhile, Crewe technical director Dario Gradi said he was not too disappointed despite his side's 3-0 Carling Cup defeat at the hands of Hull on Wednesday.
Gradi said: "We were not too disappointed with the performance because we had three forwards up there with about three games between them and we still made some chances.
"We have got a lot to work on but we were not all at sea and we played some decent football."
